That is very cool you are donating the proceeds to the USO! I am sorry to hear your husband is so far away and I will be praying for his safety daily! I know the feeling of the husband gone, you seem to be making the best out of it and keeping busy. When other wives ask me how it felt to be away from my soldier for 16 months, I just give them the advice of staying busy and focusing on that! You are lucky to hear from him as much as you do, GOOD FOR YOU! So do you send him alot of packages and stuff? I have a great recipe if you want to send him baked good and keep them fresh! Hit me up and I will give you the info! Take Care, T

Great article! The USO is a wonderful organization. You're very fortunate to be able to talk to your husband so often. I remember the first year-long deployment my husband did, they had one (yes one) day every six months where they set up phone banks for the spouses to use. You got three minutes, and not a second more. The lines were scratchy and half the time you'd get cut off. Isn't technology a wonderful thing??
